The minority activist group ACORN has been receiving a lot of damaging publicity recently for its implication in voter registration scandals and the subprime mortgage debacle. Investigations into the organization’s voter registration practices are underway in 15 states, and a lawsuit has been filed in Ohio. A number of congressmen have called for the immediate cessation of all federal funds to ACORN. Today’s action alert asks you to urge your US senators and representatives to join in this effort and to do everything in their power to see that the organization is prosecuted. Your e-mails will serve not only to damage this noxious group, but also to discredit Barack Obama, who has a long history of allegiance with ACORN.
Contact information is available on the House of Representatives and Senate websites. You may also want to contact your state and local representatives urging them too to withhold funding from ACORN and see to its prosecution.
Thanks for doing your part!
A number of congressmen, including Rep. John Boehner and Sen. John Ensign, have called for an end to federal funding of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). I urge you to support their efforts and do your best to make sure that the group is prosecuted for voter registration fraud and any other crimes it may have committed.
ACORN is being investigated for voter registration fraud in 15 states. The number of fraudulent registrations that the organization has filed over the years is potentially huge, as it added 1.3 million voters to the rolls this year alone. The fraud may be extensive enough to change the outcome of elections.
Moreover, ACORN bears a large part of the responsibility for the current financial crisis. The group used the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) to pressure banks to make risky mortgages to minorities and the poor. ACORN and its congressional allies also lobbied Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to buy up subprime loans so that banks would be more comfortable issuing them. It is these toxic mortgages that have put the world financial system in jeopardy.
The fraudulence and destructiveness of this organization has been evident for years. In fact, as far back as ten years ago an ACORN employee was convicted of falsifying hundreds of voter registrations. Yet the federal government has funneled it millions of dollars every year.
Federal funding of ACORN needs to end now. Also, please do everything in your power to see that the group is prosecuted and to publicize Barack Obama’s links to ACORN. Finally, you should work to end the affirmative action home lending programs like the CRA that gave ACORN and other such groups so much power.

As the world’s attention is fixed on the financial crisis, it is time to pressure politicians to repeal the affirmative action lending policies that led to it. Please send the message below or one of your own composition to your US representative and senators. Contact information is available on the House of Representatives and Senate websites.
For more information on affirmative action lending policies and their link to the financial crisis, see this IW article and also:
Thanks for doing your part!
A recent editorial in Investor’s Business Daily, “The Real Culprits in This Meltdown,” exposes one of the major causes of the current financial crisis: affirmative action lending. For decades, government policies have encouraged home ownership among minorities who would not otherwise have qualified for home loans. The resulting erosion in lending standards is largely responsible for the recent turmoil in America’s financial institutions and the plummeting stock market.
Yet politicians have barely mentioned the role of affirmative action lending in creating the current debacle. It is time for you to step up to the plate and bring this issue the attention it deserves.
The editorial focuses on the Community Reinvestment Act, which requires financial institutions to make loans to minorities who do not meet traditional standards. The CRA also gives community organizations like the leftist ACORN authority to enforce the act: any bank merger or expansion can be held up if a local group claims that the bank’s loan practices violate the terms of the CRA. The result is that banks have made billions in loans and contributions to appease often irresponsible community groups. Even worse, the CRA was one of the policies that caused banks to abandon traditional lending practices to make it easier to get loans.
Other affirmative action lending policies included:
I know that it takes courage to stand up to the minority pressure groups who are all too ready to smear critics of affirmative action as racists. But that is the kind of courage we need to save America from yet further financial meltdown. If you demand the end of affirmative action lending, you will gain the support of many outraged voters.

Update 8/11/08: I originally posted this alert in March, but it’s still valid. If you haven’t yet acted on it, please do so.
This action alert asks readers to protest corporate donations to the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), a group that funds radical pro-Hispanic and anti-white activists and lobbies for illegal alien amnesty. Coca Cola, Ford, GM, and Wal-mart are some of NCLR’s primary corporate backers.
Background: The report on NCLR by the Capital Research Center, a conservative group that investigates the funding of leftist and liberal causes, contains a good overview of this group’s activities. Michelle Malkin’s column La Raza Schools: Your Tax Dollars at Work is also very useful. All the information in my sample e-mail is derived from these sources.
Thanks to Julia for suggesting this campaign on IW Activism Suggestions page.
Subject: Stop funding the National Council of La Raza!
Body: The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) lists you as one of its institutional corporate partners.
I urge you to stop supporting NCLR. While posing as a moderate organization, NCLR actually funds groups and individuals who are hostile to American whites and encourage Hispanic separatism and militancy. Additionally, NCLR lobbies for amnesty for illegal aliens and blocks efforts at immigration-law enforcement.
NCLR funds several charter schools that promote a radical agenda. Marcos Aguilar, the founder of the NCLR-supported Academia Semillas del Pueblo Xinaxcalmecac in Los Angeles, describes his political views as follows:
“We don’t want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts… Ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo-liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction.”
Aguilar sees his school as a means to promote resistance to white America and Hispanic separatism. The school is meant to be “a resistance, a starting point, like a fire in continuous struggle for our cultural life” and advances Hispanic “educational and cultural autonomy.” The school indoctrinates its students with a thorough-going indigenous Mexican identity, complete with courses in Aztec math and language.
In “La Raza Schools: Your Tax Dollars at Work,” columnist Michelle Malkin has given many other examples of NCLR-supported schools with radical agendas.
In addition, NCLR is one of the primary obstacles to the resolution of America’s illegal alien crisis. NCLR has lobbied:
The overwhelming majority of white Americans reject these policies. It incenses me that the money I spend on your products and services is used to fund lobbying efforts for policies I oppose, as well as Hispanic activists who are hostile to the white race.
Therefore, as long as you go on funding NCLR, we will take our business to your competitors.
See the Capital Research Center’s report on NCLR for more information (http://www.capitalresearch.org/pubs/pubs.html?id=616).
Sincerely,
Instructions for sending: Edit the message above as you like and submit it by e-mail to the following corporations, which are listed as NCLR’s primary corporate sponsors. (Not all the sponsors are listed below; most of the omissions were due to my inability to find appropriate contact information.) I’ve linked each item in the list either to a webpage or an e-mail address.
There is another list of NCLR corporate sponsors here.
If you are a regular consumer of the goods or services of these corporations, please mention that in your e-mail.
If you would like to look up phone numbers for these corporations and give them a call, that would be great.
After you send the message, it is crucial that you either leave a comment below or send me a private e-mail telling me you sent the message. I need to know how many people are sending these messages to gauge interest.

As the Dow plummets to new lows as a result of the mortgage crisis, I thought it was a good time to write on this issue to the Senate, which is currently considering a bailout bill for banks that made bad loans. My e-mail urges Senators to acknowledge and repudiate the affirmative action housing policies that led banks to issue so many irresponsible loans.
For more information on affirmative action housing policies, see here and here.
Please send the message below or one of your own composition to your senators. Contact information for senators is available at the Senate website.
Thanks for doing your part!
The current mortgage crisis has been precipitated by decades of affirmative action housing initiatives and programs that have gutted lending standards and caused home loans to be issued to minorities who could not pay them back. Despite the role that the government’s history of coddling minorities has played in the current crisis, I have yet to hear a single politician raise this issue in the debate over the housing bill currently before the Senate.
In a New York Post article earlier this year, University of Texas economist Stan Liebowitz declared that the real scandal leading to the mortgage crisis was the erosion of lending standards due to minority activism, particularly by the group ACORN. Crying racial discrimination at an industry that was really innocent of this practice, ACORN insisted that banks lower their criteria for making loans.
The result was a wholesale gutting of standards. In 1992, the Federal Reserve told banks that they might be subject to discrimination lawsuits if they went on using “outdated” criteria that hindered minority applicants from getting loans. As Lieobowitz says:
“Some of these ‘outdated’ criteria included the size of the mortgage payment relative to income, credit history, savings history and income verification. Instead, the Boston Fed ruled that participation in a credit-counseling program should be taken as evidence of an applicant’s ability to manage debt.”
Also, through the 1977 Community Redlining Act (CRA), ACORN was able to force banks to make imprudent loans to minorities. Banks have issued about one trillion dollars of CRA loans. The 1992 Government Sponsored Enterprises bill required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to issue loans at highly favorable rates to minorities. A list of all the government programs of this sort would go on for a long time.
The way out of our current financial crisis is to end affirmative action home loans, as well as the constant threat of discrimination lawsuits against banks. We need to tell minorities clearly that they will not get any special favors from the US government and need to compete for loans on the same terms as the rest of us. If we don’t, we’ll get more of the same: recession, a plummeting stock market, and taxpayer-funded bank bailouts.
I hope you will be the first to make this crucial point in the Senate.
Sincerely,
6/19/08
Today’s action alert asks readers protest the Tucson Unified School District’s appalling promotion of anti-white racial hatred, as detailed here.
By clicking here, you will open an e-mail message to the Tucson school board, the Mayor of Tucson, and the members of the Tucson city council. (The e-mail addresses are: governingboard@tusd1.org, mcweb@tucsonaz.gov, mike.hein@tucsonaz.gov, ward1@tucsonaz.gov, ward2@tucsonaz.gov, ward3@tucsonaz.gov, ward4@tucsonaz.gov, steve.leal@tucsonaz.gov, ward6@tucsonaz.gov). Thanks for doing your part!
Subject: Stop promoting hatred of whites in Tucson schools!
Body: Dear Sir or Madam:
I was shocked to learn that the Tucson Unified School District’s “Raza Studies” program was preaching hatred of white people. As Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne said in his “Open Letter to the Citizens of Tucson,” Tucson schools are teaching that Hispanic activists who threaten to kill whites are admirable and that Hispanics should rebel against a racist state. One textbook refers to the Southwest US as “Aztlan,” a clear reference to the Mexican nationalist and separatist ideology of MEChA.
(See http://www.ade.az.gov/An Open Letter to Citizens of Tucson.doc)
Furthermore, Horne claims that the Director of the Raza Studies program harbors truly alarming sentiments towards white people. When a teacher protested against the Mexican nationalist tone of “Raza Studies” courses, the director called him the “white man’s agent” and said the students were being taught “not to fall for the white man’s traps.”
It horrifies me that Tucson schools are promoting this racial hatred, especially when it has so little foundation. America, far from being a racist state, has in fact bent over backwards to bring about racial and ethnic equality in this country through affirmative action and welfare assistance for Hispanics.
I also resent the schools’ suggestion that white history consists of nothing but oppression of non-whites. The history of the white race is one of achievement not even remotely paralleled by any other people. According to Charles Murray’s Human Accomplishment, ninety-seven percent of major scientists were white. Whites invented the concept of human rights and representative government. Whites were the first to abolish slavery. All Tucson students should be taught our glorious record of accomplishment and compassion.
Sincerely,

Yesterday, I posted an action alert on Macomb County (Michigan) Sheriff Mark Hackel’s astonishing statement that he was unsure whether hate crime laws applied to crimes against whites. Today’s action alert asks readers to e-mail Sheriff Hackel to make sure that he recognizes all races in Michigan are entitled to equal protection of the law. Clicking here will open an e-mail message to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (sheriff@macomb-sheriff.com). Also, if you haven’t acted on yesterday’s alert yet, please do now.
Subject: Whites can be victims of hate crimes too!
Body: Dear Sheriff Hackel:
I was shocked to read that you do not think whites are covered by Michigan’s hate crime laws. In an interview on radio station WJR, when asked whether the suspects in the recent black-on-white attacks in Mount Clemens would be charged with hate crimes, you said, “Well, that’s questionable. I don’t know if it applies to an unprotected class, and I don’t know if whites are part of that. I’m not sure.” (See here: http://tinyurl.com/5alo4k)
The relevant Michigan statute, Section 750.147b of your state penal code, does not exempt attacks on whites from prosecution for crimes of ethnic intimidation, which include what are usually called hate crimes. There is no exception for “unprotected classes” in the code. (See here: http://tinyurl.com/6ap2va)
It amazes me that you would not be sure that whites have a right to equal protection under the law.
Unless you investigate this crime just as you would any other interracial crime, carefully evaluating whether there is any evidence of racial hatred, you are guilty of racial discrimination against whites.
According to the FBI’s “Training Guide for Hate Crime Data Collection,” police departments should ask the following questions, among others, when evaluating whether a crime qualifies as a hate crime:
Does a historically established animosity exist between the victim’s and offender’s groups?
Were the offender and the victim of different race, religion, ethnicity/national origin, or sexual-orientation?
Would the incident have taken place if the victim and offender were of the same race, religion, disability, ethnicity/national origin, or sexual orientation?
Are there other explanations for the incident, such as a childish prank, unrelated vandalism, etc.?
See here: http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/traingd99.pdf
The unprovoked nature of the crimes in question, as well as the historical animosity between whites and blacks in the Detroit area, strongly suggests that the Mount Clemens attacks are hate crimes and should be prosecuted as such.
Sincerely,
6/11/08
This week’s action alert asks readers to e-mail conservative pundits asking them to publicize a miscarriage of justice. On the night of May 31, a group of 20 to 30 black teenagers committed unprovoked wilding-style attacks on at least four white people in Mount Clemens, Michigan, leaving one with a fractured skull. Despite the fact that there appears to be no motive for these crimes other than racial hatred, Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel has said that he probably will not charge the criminals with a hate crime and that he even doubts whether whites are protected by hate crime laws. Please ask conservative pundits to publicize this outrage and inform Sheriff Hackel and the rest of America that people of all races are entitled to equal protection of the law.
In the first attack, the gang blocked traffic on a road and threw a brick at a car. After a man named Andy Kaufmann got out of the car, about a dozen of the youths jumped on him, beating and kicking him until he was unconscious. He was hospitalized with a fractured skull. Another passenger in the car, who got out to help Kaufmann, was also injured.
In the second incident, the gang attacked two men outside a Mount Clemens gas station. There’s a video of the attack here. Police also suspect the gang is responsible for two other attacks in the Mount Clemens area.
The Spartan Spectator, the blog of the Young Americans for Freedom chapter of Michigan State University, posted a summary of these incidents that quotes an interview with Sheriff Hackel, who is in charge of investigating the crimes. When host Frank Beckmann asked whether the gang would be charged with a hate crime, Hackel answered, “Well, that’s questionable. I don’t know if it applies to an unprotected class, and I don’t know if whites are part of that. I’m not sure.”
Beckmann continued, “You mentioned ‘unprotected class.’ You mean white people are not protected by hate crime legislation?”
Hackel answered, “It doesn’t appear as such at this point and time that there is something that would qualify.”
By clicking here, you will open an e-mail message to several popular conservative commentators who can publicize this incident: Rush Limbaugh (ElRushbo@eibnet.com), Bill O’Reilly (oreilly@foxnews.com), Sean Hannity (Hannity@foxnews.com), Michelle Malkin (writemalkin@gmail.com), and the staff of Human Events magazine. Please send them the message below or one of your own composition.
Subject: Hate crime laws apply to black-on-white crimes too!
Body: On the night of May 31, a group of 20 to 30 black youths committed at least two random, wilding-style attacks on whites in Mount Clemens, Michigan. The unprovoked nature of the attacks suggests they were motivated by racial hatred.
But in an interview on WJR radio, Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said he would probably not prosecute these crimes as hate crimes. Additionally, he said he said he doubted that whites were protected by hate crime laws. For further details, see here. (http://spartanspectator.blogspot.com/2008/06/hunting-season-for-whites.html)
Please publicize this grave miscarriage of justice and tell Sherriff Hackel and the rest of America that all races are entitled to equal protection of the law and that police should treat suspected hate crimes against whites the same way that they treat those against minorities.

Today’s action alert asks readers to protest diversity training of students at the University of Delaware. Please do your part by sending an e-mail to the university administration.
Last year, the University of Delaware came to national attention because of the shockingly coercive diversity training that was taking place in its Residence Life program. The university taught Resident Assistants (RAs), or students responsible for overseeing student life, that the United States was a “white supremacist” society and that all American whites were the beneficiaries of white privilege and were racist. The RAs would then transmit these doctrines to students in mandatory training sessions. If students resisted the indoctrination, the RAs reported them to the university. Students were pressured to adopt the cause of an “oppressed” social group in order to demonstrate their ideological correctness.
The university ended the Residence Life program last November after the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) exposed its violation of our constitutional freedoms. However, the Office of Residence Life, which devised the defeated policy, has now resurrected it in a modified form, and it looks as though the new plan will be enacted, as it has been approved by the Faculty Senate and the Board of Trustees. Although the new Residence Life program is optional for students and some of the language has been changed, the agenda underlying it is unaltered—see the schedule of events here. The diversity indoctrination is clear in the “Discovery Wheel” event that is marked in the schedule. The event, as you can see here, plainly pressures students to take a pro-diversity position. Also, the new Residence Life program will sponsor events for the Latino and African-American Heritage Months and the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. To add insult to injury, students have to pay for the program through increases in fees.
FIRE has been keeping track of developments surrounding the program. For more information, see here.
By clicking on this link, you will open an e-mail message addressed to the president of the University of Delaware, Patrick T. Harker (president@udel.edu); the university’s public relations department (publicrelations@udel.edu), and the officers of the Faculty Senate (dgh@udel.edu, dlehman@udel.edu, kstein@udel.edu8711, afox@udel.edu, ajohnson@udel.edu, jjjordan@udel.edu, baroudi@lerner.udel.edu). The senate’s names are at this link). Please send the e-mail below or one of your own composition.
Thanks for doing your part.
Subject: Stop indoctrinating your students!
Body:
Dear Sir or Madam:
After the disastrous failure of the University of Delaware’s Residence Life program last year, I was disappointed to learn that you are planning on reviving it.
I was shocked last year when I read of the political reeducation campaign that you subjected your students to. The university trained Resident Assistants to tell students that America was a white supremacist society and that all American whites were racist. Not only did students have to listen to this hateful claptrap, but they were also pressured into public displays of conformity to the university’s position.
It is a grotesque lie to call America a racist society when our country has bent over backwards to bring about social and economic equality among the races through decades of affirmative action, welfare subsidies, and other assistance. To inculcate such unfounded guilt in the impressionable minds of university students is abusive.
I understand that the new Residential Life program is optional. However, since the new program was designed by the same people that came up with the previous one, it is highly likely that the sponsored events will indoctrinate students with the same obnoxious propaganda. After all, the program is chock full of events like Latino Heritage Month, African American Heritage Month, and the Martin Luther King Public Service Day that provide ample opportunity for white guilt-mongering. Students will feel pressured into accepting doctrines that are preached at events backed by the university.
Also, students who disagree with the doctrines expressed through the Residential Life program will still have to pay for it through mandatory student fees. Is it fair to require students to fund the propagation of views they find obnoxious?
Students attend university in order to get the education of their choice, not to receive political indoctrination. The University of Delaware should respect the students’ agenda, rather than imposing your own on them.
Sincerely,
4/29/08
This week’s action alert asks readers to protest corporate funding of the NAACP. Despite his record of slander against whites, Jeremiah Wright was invited to speak at an NAACP dinner held in Detroit on Sunday night. The president of the Detroit NAACP chapter had nothing but kind words for Wright, who also received a standing ovation. I’ve written up a sample e-mail that you can send to the NAACP’s corporate sponsors and included contact information for them. Please do your part by sending my e-mail or one of your own composition.
Dear Sir or Madam:
I demand that your corporation end its sponsorship of the NAACP. While the organization claims to be a “champion of social justice,” its support of disgraced pastor Jeremiah Wright proves that it does not believe in treating American whites justly.
Not only did the NAACP sponsor Wright as its speaker at an event in Detroit on April 27, but the local NAACP chapter president publicly praised him. By doing so, the NAACP legitimated Wright’s outrageous anti-white slanders.
As is well known to anyone who has been paying attention to the news in the past few months, in his sermons at Chicago’s Trinity Church, Wright claimed that:
Wright has designated “white America” the “US of KKKA.” Additionally, Wright’s church gave an award to Louis Farrakhan, whose organization, the Nation of Islam, has urged violence against whites and promoted the kind of conspiracy theories that Wright preaches in his church.
Despite the fact that Wright has expressed no regret for making these statements and continues to defend them, Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of the Detroit NAACP chapter, praised Wright in his introductory remarks. Anthony called Wright the “hottest brother in America right now—outside of Barack Obama” and an “innovator and sustainer of the word of God.” Wright received a standing ovation from the audience.
The NAACP has been promoting the demonization of whites for years. In 2006, NAACP president Julian Bond said, “The Republican Party would have the American flag and the swastika flying side by side.” During the debate over the California Civil Rights Initiative in 1996, the NAACP sponsored ads linking opponents of affirmative action like Pete Wilson, then the governor of California, and Newt Gingrich to the KKK.
Given this history, it is irresponsible for your corporation to continue to donate to the NAACP. I will think twice before using your products and services until you end your sponsorship of anti-white hatred.
Sincerely,
Corporate Contacts
If you look at the sponsors listed for NAACP events (see here and here, for example), it seems that there are few corporations that do not fund the NAACP. Below I’ve given listed just a few of the NAACP’s sponsors along with links to the appropriate e-mail addresses and contact forms. Please send the message above to all of the contacts below. Feel free to snoop around the NAACP website for further corporate contacts.

This week’s action alert asks readers to e-mail the American Catholic Church in order to protest the church’s opposition to immigration law enforcement.
Background: During his recent visit to the US, the pope made general statements that implied disapproval for recent efforts at immigration law enforcement and reportedly advocated amnesty in his conversation with the president. Various other Catholic clergymen, including Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles, made the church’s hostility towards immigration law enforcement explicit during the pope’s visit.
In doing so, they carried on the legacy of John Paul II, who was outspoken in his view that “true acceptance of immigrants in their cultural diversity” was the duty of a Christian.
Rep. Tom Tancredo issued a stinging rebuke to the pope in a press release.
I called the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops today, and they told me that their department of Migrant and Refugee Services was the best contact for complaints about the church’s immigration policy. Please send the letter below or one of your own composition to mrs@usccb.org.
My sample letter is written from the perspective of a non-Catholic. If you are a Catholic, your letter will have much more impact. You should certainly include a statement that you are a Catholic and perhaps revise it in other ways as well. Additionally, all Catholics should send the letter to their bishops, archbishops, and cardinals. Contact information for these clergymen is here.
Thanks for doing your part.
Dear Sir or Madam:
The views on immigration recently expressed by the pope and other Catholic clergymen were deeply offensive to me because they encourage disrespect for the rule of law and insult American natives.
During his visit, the pope reiterated the church’s long-standing disapproval of efforts to enforce immigration law when he said Americans should “continue to welcome immigrants… and help them flourish in their new home.” The pope is reported to have pressed for amnesty for illegal aliens during his conversation with the president.
Other clergymen also expressed the Catholic Church’s hostility towards immigration law enforcement during the pope’s visit. Cardinal Mahony, of the Los Angeles diocese, for example, complained of a roundup of illegal immigrants by federal agents:
“I just feel these raids are totally negative. I thought it was very inappropriate to do it in such a blatant way when the pope was coming, when he has been so outspoken in defending the rights of immigrants.”
In making these statements, Catholic clergymen undermine the rule of law and give divine sanction to anarchy and law-breaking. Regulating immigration is one of the essential functions of the nation-state. To say that enforcing the law against illegal immigrants is a violation of their rights not only hinders the state’s performance of its duties, but promotes a general disrespect for the law.
Furthermore, the pope insulted Americans when he urged that we fight “all forms of violence so that immigrants may lead dignified lives.” This statement falsely implies that mistreatment of immigrants is a salient problem in America and maliciously associates peaceful and responsible activism for immigration law enforcement with thuggery. As Rep. Tom Tancredo responded:
“I would like to know what part of our lax immigration policy is considered violent. I fail to see how accepting more refugees than any other nation and providing free health care, education, housing and social service benefits to millions of illegal aliens is in any way ‘violent’ or ‘degrading.’”
The Catholic Church lavishes compassion on immigrants, but I think the native population of the US deserves compassion too. Hispanic immigrants have overloaded our social services and brought gangs and a hostile culture to our country. Government statistics on crime, welfare usage, and educational attainment indicate that Hispanics are poorly suited to assimilate into American society and are destined to form a permanent and resentful underclass. Rather than insulting them, a church that felt compassion towards American natives would respect their right to enforce immigration laws in order to maintain their culture and their way of life.
Sincerely,
4/8/08
This week’s action alert asks readers to protest the biased portrayal of the “civil rights” movement in the History Channel’s documentary King. The documentary predictably reduced the complexities of the civil rights movement into a simple-minded fairy tale in which Martin Luther King represented “love” and the segregationists “hate.” Even though many segregationists were respected scholars who made reasoned arguments against racial integration, the only opponents of King that we saw in the documentary were Klan members, neo-Nazis, angry mobs, and ranting public officials.
In case you’re one of those backwards reactionaries who failed to worship at the shrine of King on Sunday night, the History Channel’s promotional material for King will give you an idea of what you missed. For more on King, see The Ugliest Day of the Year.
The History Channel welcomes viewer comments on its programs. To ask for an objective and impartial portrayal of the “civil rights” movement, send the e-mail below or one of your own composition to thc.viewerrelations@aetv.com.
Thanks for doing your part!
Subject: King was propaganda, not history!
Body:
Dear Sir or Madam:
Your documentary King was more propaganda than history.
The documentary reduced the complexities of history to a simple-minded fairy tale of good against evil, in which Martin Luther King and his followers represented “love” and those who opposed him represented “hate” and “man’s inhumanity to man.”
Of course, there was much irrationality and hatred on the segregationist side of the civil rights debate. However, casting these as the sole motives of the segregationists, as King did, is a grotesque caricature. There was much more to the segregationist movement than Klansmen, neo-Nazis, and “Bull” Connor’s snarling police dogs.
The segregationists counted many distinguished scholars and commentators among their ranks, including James E. Garrett, former president of the American Psychological Association, Ernest van den Haag, professor at New York University, and Carleton Putnam, author of Race and Reason. These men made reasonable and factual arguments against racial integration. Segregationist scholars offered scientific evidence that the genetic differences between whites and blacks were so large as to make integration impossible. They also defended segregation on the grounds of freedom of association, a basic human right. Furthermore, they made a persuasive case for the constitutionality of the “separate but equal” policy that governed American race relations before the civil rights era.
When I turn on the History Channel, I want to see history, not fairy tales. That means I want to see documentaries that present an impartial and objective account of the strengths and weaknesses of both sides of historical conflicts, not one-sided propaganda.
Sincerely,
3/24/08
This week’s action alert asks readers to demand that Union Theological Seminary (UTS) repudiate the teachings of white-hating theology professor James Hal Cone, who teaches at UTS. Cone’s theology was one of the primary inspirations of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s incendiary sermons. Cone is a staunch defender of Malcolm X and once wrote, “Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man the devil.”
Background: When you read the quotations from Cone’s work that I have placed in the body of the e-mail, I believe you will be as shocked as I was that a man who writes such things is employed as “Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology” at a reputable seminary. UTS has posted a response to the Jeremiah Wright affair on its website. The response contains not a word of criticism of either Wright or Cone and links to an article about Wright that praises him as a modern-day prophet.
Below I’ve placed instructions on how to send the e-mail below to the UTS President of the Faculty and the UTS contact address. Thanks for doing your part.
Subject: Repudiate James Hal Cone and Jeremiah Wright!
Body: The theology of UTS professor James Hal Cone has gotten much attention recently, since Rev. Jeremiah Wright has named Cone’s works one of the inspirations for his religion of anti-white paranoia. To remind you, Wright preached that the US government invented AIDS to kill off non-whites and once called his country the “US of KKKA.”
When I read the writings of Cone, I was shocked to discover that there were professors employed at reputable institutions of higher learning who unabashedly promoted hatred of whites and urged blacks to commit violence against them. Cone has defended Malcolm X’s view that whites are the devil and that blacks are within their rights to assault and even kill whites in the name of black liberation. When I visited the Union Theological Seminary website, it sickened me to see that your only response to the Wright affair has been to post a link to Melissa Harris-Lacewell’s uncritical apology for the minister’s galling words.
Cone’s writings are responsible for Wright’s libels on whites. It is incumbent on UTS, as a Christian institution, to publicly repudiate Cone’s words, as well as those of his wild-eyed followers.
Here are some quotations from Cone’s 1968 book Black Theology and Black Power that outraged me:
“Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man the devil.”
“Whiteness, as revealed in the history of America, is the expression of what is wrong with man. It is a symbol of man’s depravity. God cannot be white even though white churches have portrayed him as white. When we look at what whiteness has done to the minds of men in this country, we can see clearly what the New Testament meant when it spoke of the principalities and powers… The coming of Christ means a denial of what we thought we were. It means destroying the white devil in us.”
“Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy.”
In the 1975 essay “Revolution, Violence, and Reconciliation,” Cone legitimated black violence against whites: “The divine election of the oppressed means that black people are given the power of judgment over the high and mighty whites.”
Cone never apologized for these writings. In fact, his militant anti-white attitudes continued into the era of affirmative action and the welfare state, when whites spent trillions to rescue blacks from poverty and bring them into the American mainstream. His 1992 book Martin & Malcolm & America is an uncritical glorification of Malcolm X. Cone whitewashes Malcolm X’s incitements to violence against whites as a “commitment to [black] self-defense.” Cone also says that Malcolm X “complemented and corrected” Martin Luther King’s philosophy of non-violence.
Surely one of the crucial tasks of Christians is to work towards racial reconciliation. I can guarantee you, however, that there will be no such reconciliation as long as preachers of hate like Cone and Wright are dignified with the titles of “professor” and “reverend.”
Sincerely,

This week’s action alert asks readers to e-mail their Senators in support of Senator Jim DeMint’s Complete the Fence Act, which requires that 700 miles of physical fence be built along the Mexican border by 2010.
Background: We should not actually need the Complete the Fence Act, as it merely repeats the mandates spelled out in the 2006 Secure Fence Act. However, Congress and DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff weaseled their way out of their commitment.
The most ridiculous moment of the fence farce came three weeks ago, when Michael Chertoff proudly announced that the first 28-mile stretch of “virtual fence,” which had been substituted for the real fence demanded in 2006, was ready to go operational. However, five days later, the media reported that due to technical problems, the virtual fence would not be ready for another three years!
So now Sen. DeMint is going to tell Congress yet again that America wants a real fence, and you can help him out by sending this e-mail.
Thanks for doing your part.
Subject: Support the Complete the Fence Act
Body: Please support Senator Jim DeMint’s Complete the Fence Act, which requires that 700 miles of physical fence be built along the Mexican border by 2010.
We really shouldn’t need a new piece of legislation to get this fence built. After all, in 2006, Congress passed the Secure Fence Act, which promised to build a 700-mile physical fence. After its passage, however, Congress and Michael Chertoff dragged their feet and watered the act down. As a result, only five miles of fence following the act’s specifications have been built, plus a 28-mile “virtual fence,” which doesn’t work and wouldn’t be effective even if it did.
By refusing to obey the will of Americans, Congress demonstrates that it has succumbed to the pressure of the liberal press, Hispanic lobbies, and the Mexican government, all of whom labeled the fence “racist” and “xenophobic.” However, our interminable failure to take action on illegal immigration shows that America’s problem is not lack of respect for others, but lack of respect for ourselves.
A strong fence standing proudly on our border would be a slap in the face to all of those who trade in white guilt. The fence would state unambiguously that Americans will not be bullied into surrendering their homeland to aliens.
After all, Americans oppose Hispanic immigration not because of irrational prejudice, but because of legitimate and well-founded concern over the effect that Hispanics are having on America. Consider these statistics:
If America is to retain her prosperity and her pride of place among nations, we need a population that can live up to the standards that made this country great. We need a nation of educated and morally responsible taxpayers, not one of criminals, high school dropouts, and welfare users.
And that means we need to stop illegal immigration now.
Sincerely,

Today’s action alert asks readers to e-mail their US representatives in support of the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088), a House bill designed to enforce immigration law.
Background: The SAVE Act, which was introduced by Rep. Heath Shuler of North Carolina, would:
For more background, see Rep. Shuler’s press release on the SAVE Act and the backgrounder on the act from NumbersUSA.
148 representatives in the House have signed the SAVE Act. Go to the link and see if your representative is one of the signers; if he is, please thank him for it in the e-mail.
Unfortunately, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is trying to sabotage the SAVE Act by inserting provisions that would grant illegal aliens legal work permits and increase the number of visas available for legal immigration.
Below is a sample e-mail from a race realist perspective for you to send to your US representative. Most of the statistics about Hispanics contained in the letter are discussed in The Improvident Races. Instructions on sending are below. Thanks for doing your part.
Subject: Support the SAVE Act!
Body: Please sign the discharge petition on Rep. Heath Schuler’s Secure America with Verification and Enforcement (SAVE) Act (H.R. 4088) currently being circulated in the House. Additionally, please do everything in your power to maintain the integrity and ensure the passage of the act.
The act would require that employers verify the legal status of all workers and strengthen our borders. Such measures are very popular among voters: according to a Rasmussen poll taken during last year’s amnesty debate, 72 percent of Americans think border enforcement and immigration reduction are very important.
Not only must the bill be passed, but it must be protected from liberals who wish to weaken it. Nancy Pelosi has been working behind the scenes to attach increases in H-1 and H-2 visas and amnesty provisions to the bill. Please stand up for the American majority by protecting the SAVE Act from this sabotage.
I believe in tough measures against illegal immigration because I don’t think Hispanics are capable of assimilating into American society, and statistics compiled by government agencies and reputable researchers bear me out. Consider these facts:
If America is to retain her prosperity and her pride of place among nations, we need a population that can live up to the high standards that made this country great. We need educated and morally responsible taxpayers, not more criminals, high school dropouts, and welfare users.
And that means we need to encourage Hispanics to leave.
Sincerely,
