Absolut Reconquista Advertisement
By • 4/3/08Here is a real advertisement that Absolut, the vodka company, placed in the Mexican magazine Quien.

The ad is likely to appeal to Mexicans. A 2002 survey found that a majority of Mexicans believe the southwest US rightfully belongs to Mexico:
Asked if they believed the U.S. Southwest belonged to Mexico, 58 percent of respondents in Mexico said it did, and 28 percent disagreed. A similar number, 57 percent, said Mexicans had the right to enter the United States without U.S. permission. Thirty-five percent disagreed.
I doubt Absolut will ever put out an advertisement glorifying Manifest Destiny. Such is the racial double standard.
Not to worry. The National Council of La Raza assures us that the idea of Reconquista “is so far outside of the mainstream of the Latino community that we find it incredible that our critics raise it as an issue.”

Only the slogan is in English. The rest is in Spanish. Absolut is probably trying to appeal to the educated, cosmopolitan class in Mexico, most of whom know some English. They get to say to themselves, “I know what that means, unlike those ignorant indios.”

Amazing that Absolut would run that. I’ll never buy their product again.
Here’s the irony about “Aztlan”; if whites moved out lock stock and barrel, and only Mestizos moved in to the place, they would soon be following whites into the newly delineated “Estados Unidos”, because they do not create high functioning societies.
It makes no difference what the name of a defined territory is; it’s all about the demographics. If you stick third worlders into the American Southwest, it’ll become third world, whether it’s still called America or not.
Vanishing American stated it beautifully on her blog:
“I think they recognize, deep down if not consciously, that the ‘better’, more desirable neighborhoods and schools and towns ARE better and more desirable because whites tend to create more harmonious, livable, and well-functioning institutions and communities. They realize, although they would never acknowledge it, that they do not create livable places for themselves, but can only seek out what has already been created by others. I suppose this fact must surely foster a lot of resentment: imagine feeling dependent on someone you resent and even despise. It must be a very unpleasant state of being.”

It’s all about virility, which is not the same thing as machismo. In its virile stage the United States would have simply enforced it’s border, without apology.
Can that be done now? Technically, yes. But mentally, no.
Something’s gone out of us and we’re doomed.

I just sent this email to Absolut:
To Whom It May Concern,
I was severely disappointed to learn of an ad that Absolut ran in Mexico depicting a map of the Americas, Reconquista-style. While I’m aware that these types of ads intend to be humorous, many Americans find this tongue-in-cheek reference to anti-American Reconquista upsetting. The immigration topic in the United States is a heated one, and many Americans do not appreciate any endorsement of Reconquista. If you were unaware, advocates of Reconquista call for the reinstitution of the American Southwest into Mexico, which can be done through armed conquest or ethnic dispersion and displacement. Many Americans, of course, are very much against this. Please be more mindful of this next time you think up ads for your product.

I fully agree with Dent, it must be hell for those who depend and admire a culture that they resent and despise. I was born and raised in Mexico and really resent the way the majority of the people feel about USA. And if all that territory for whatever reason was part of Mexico, it just would be a bigger third world country and if the USA was back to the original Colonies, they’d be trying to get in like they do now. About the advertisement, I really can not blame Absolut if they’re trying to increase their market share in Mexico, but I can blame them not to be smart enough to consider their losses in the USA. I bet they’ll be a tad smarter in the future. By the way I’m not a vodka drinker, I prefer Grappa.

But my friends, you are a very stupid society who think that just because California,New Mexico and Tejas has been american in the last 100 years it has been always this way.
Please read and try to understand the history. Mexico was stolen, in the most bizarre way.
Please read Abraham Lincoln and Ulyses Grant and then get scared for a vodka add.

Hi all
Well guys, first of all, Mexico was STOLEN, the US said they need our (yes OUR) northern states, just because you think we werent capable of explode them in the best way….. That, my friends is stealing… Porfirio Diaz put it in the best possible way “Poor Mexico, so far from God and so close to the US”.
Dont worry, the adds are with us, that land will be mexican, one way or another, believe me, in certains areas we have more mexicans there, that withe US citizens.
So, do yourselfs a favor, and enjoy them… while you can

There won’t be any problem with Americans defeating Mexico in another war. We’ve done it before and we can do it again. Mexicans are poor fighters. My concern about the coming insurgency with Mexican militants in the US is the possible involvement of foreign actors (China? al-Qaeda? UN? Drug cartels?) on the side of the insurgents. And even when we do win the coming war in a military sense, we may lose it politically. And with it, our land.

Niza, what you apparently fail to grasp is that most of your population voluntarily LEAVES Mejico for the U.S., and it’s not because our land is prettier than yours. It is because whites have created functional, prosperous societies. They leave because Mexico, despite its vast natural resources, is a failed country.
It would be better for the vast majority of Mexicans if America simply annexed your entire country. That way they would be spared the necessity of illegally sneaking into our country, and the wellbeing of your entire failed society would be improved.
Of course you realize all this already. As noted before, it must be a heck of a state of being to be both dependent upon, and resentful of, people that you despise.
Just be grateful that in spite of your people’s much higher propensity for crime, lower IQ, and low educational achievement, your gang activity, disproportionate use of welfare, etc, etc, that you are allowed to stay in a first world country and at least have a chance to make a better life for yourself.
Of course, if all of that is unappealing to you, you can always go back to that failed stinkhole.
In an Absolut world, i.e America, you have the benefit of living in a first world civilization.
Be grateful, not resentful.
