Yesterday, New York Times columnist Frank Rich speculated that 2008 may be the “last stand” of the Republican Party as we know it. Bush and McCain and their ilk are about to get swept away by the onslaught of cleansing diversity represented by the Obama campaign. Rich thinks the Republicans are just too white. They represent pre-Civil Rights America, otherwise known as the Age of Barbarism and Darkness. He says of the notables surrounding McCain during his Virginia victory speech:
What distinguished [McCain’s] posse from Mr. Obama’s throng was not just its age but its demographic monotony: all white and nearly all male. Such has been the inescapable Republican brand throughout its campaign, ever since David Letterman memorably pegged its lineup of presidential contenders last spring as “guys waiting to tee off at a restricted country club.”
Rich ties the Republicans to the Age of Darkness in other respects too: the Confederate Flag, a red meat issue for Southern Republicans, is simply a symbol of racism and slavery. Jerry Falwell was once an “ardent segregationist” and Pat Robertson defended apartheid in South Africa.
What amazes about Rich’s article is the purity of its anti-white racism and its simple contempt for pre-Civil Rights America. For Rich, that America is not to be remembered as the most dynamic, innovative, and courageous nation in history, the nation that invented the automobile, the airplane, the radio, the television, penicillin, and the computer, and that waged the good fight against Nazism and Communism. Rather, that America was just the nation of Jim Crow and lynch mobs. That being the case, it naturally follows that any remnants of traditional America that survive today must be stamped out.
The Republicans have met their match, Rich says, in the “millenial generation,” which began in 1982, about 40 percent of which is non-white. Through YouTube videos, these youngsters have made clear that they will have no truck with McCain. “In the vast arena of the Internet, [McCain] has been shrunk to Grumpy Old White Guy, the G. O. P. brand incarnate.” Simple racial bigotry of that sort is something for all liberals to be glad about.
Rich is exultant despite his dim recognition of the emptiness of Obama’s change and hope palaver. “It’s hara-kiri for a politician to step into the shadow of even a mediocre speech by Barack Obama.” The new, diverse America is so plainly morally superior to the old one that its representatives shouldn’t even have to give good speeches to win.
It’s plain how ridiculous Rich’s characterization of the Republican party is. After all, McCain’s view of traditional white America is little different from his. In fact, Rich’s abuse of the Confederate Flag and of Falwell and Robertson is actually quoted from McCain! Far from backing the interests of white Americans, McCain has tried to speed up the demise of white America by promoting amnesty, as did our current president. How could anyone portray the Republicans as a pro-white party?
In a sense, though, I agree with Rich: McCain and his “posse” are a bunch of tired, disreputable, and faintly ridiculous old white men, but not because they are too racist. Rather, it’s because the Republicans have presided over the destruction of America while posing as its defenders.
John McCain and the rest of them did nothing, or next to nothing, to arrest the growth of the millenial generation that now threatens to obliterate our national spirit along with the Republican party. Instead, Republicans bought the white vote by paying lip-service to our traditions and culture. Rather than a defense of the white race, we got religious fundamentalism, the pro-life movement, family values, a thousand points of light, tax cuts, welfare reform, and the War on Terror. We needed realism; we got conservatism.
I hope that Rich is right that the 2008 elections will be the old Republican Party’s last stand. No one will be happier than me to see the demise of contemporary conservatism, provided it leads to the rise of white racial consciousness.

Well Republicans did not represent Jim Crow politics. That was the Southern Democrats. Democrats then changed their mind after being defeated. The Republican have always been about individualism and the Democrats have always been about identity politics and special interest groups. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican. While the Democrats at one point supported the state government over the federal, they never believed in limited government like the Republicans.
I do not think the party is finished, but I think the neo-cons are. The definition of a neo-con is a liberal who pretends to be conservative. The American people are figuring it out. I do not think conservatism is finished.

Yes, provided it leads to the rise of white racial consciousness. But in light of the immense love affair with Obama that is currently taking place by so many young educated whites, I have my doubts that any significant increase in white racial consciousness will be the outcome of a Republican defeat in 2008.
Last week, there was no way, know how, for any reason whatsoever, I would vote for McCain. This week I’m seriously thinking about not only holding my nose and voting for him, but actively supporting his candidacy.
Why?
Because a B. Hussein Obama/Michelle Obama co-presidency (and make no mistake about it, she wears the pants in that marriage) would be way too much for what’s left of our country to bear.
Maybe I’m just one of those brainwashed lemmings who is too mindlessly susceptible to MSM propaganda. The same type I always criticize. But the more I learn about B. Hussein, and his wife in particular, the better McCain looks…politically speaking that is. ![]()

Republicans deserve what they get, in John McCain. McCain is pure entertainment, a joke. He’s a testament to how far the GOP has declined. It’s right to identify the eclipse of conservatism within the Republican Party, but it’s been a long, slow process. It’s been happening for years. However, the GOP itself, I would argue, will endure. It probably will transform itself into something new. Perhaps an Hispanic party?
Ultimately I don’t think it matters who wins the election. As a white guy, I long ago realised that I and my kind have been disenfranchised. When will fellow whites come to the same realisation? Neither party currently represents us and our interests.
At least the coming Obama regime will hasten the decline of the US, which is something I support. Worse is better. The rule of the Multi-Cult means chaos and instability coupled with heavy-handed authoritarian rule (I think San Francis called it ‘anarcho-tyranny’), and in the mess we will have a chance to strike and make something new.
I agree with David M about the coming violence against white Americans. Once that happens, and I suspect it will, we will enter a new stage in the struggle. The gloves come off, so to speak. I see it as a liberating development.

Ian Jobling notes:
“In a sense, though, I agree with Rich: McCain and his ‘posse’ are a bunch of tired, disreputable, and faintly ridiculous old white men, but not because they are too racist. Rather, it’s because the Republicans have presided over the destruction of America while posing as its defenders.”
Senator McCain is a fool and from all that I have observed, a rather petty and arrogant man. On the issue of race, there are no words that I can think of that come close to truly describing just what an abysmally wretched weasel he is. He is also probably going to be our next president; as much as I loath the idea, he probably does have that game to lose.
Why do I make that gloomy prediction?
Well, let us face the fact that Comrade Obama does seem to have picked up that magical mystery “momentum,” of the idiot factor in the Democratic Party and will be their nominee. He “inspires” the lowest of the low in the white population of that crowd, the “educated” and hopelessly sheltered suburban “liberals.” The obnoxiously “informed” hypocrites who in middle age feel that because they can sit through a BET presentation and feel all warm and fuzzy, rather than nauseated about it; or encourage their children to see race as a meaningless “social construct” of tyrannical “white privileges,” that while undeserved, are best considered from the comforts of a majority white university or neighborhood, that they represent not a “greater good,” but the alpha and omega of “intellectual” transcendence. Thus, in the comfort of a voting booth in their sheltered bubbles of socio-economically controlled “diversity,” they vote for a fantasy come to life in the form of a utopian mulatto, that while not forgetting, is willing to “forgive” their original sin of “intrinsic racism.”
Indeed, a soothing and painless secular baptism, so to speak!
But for the white population as a whole, that hopelessly audacious self-debasement, has little appeal. The white population as a whole, does reject such nonsense at most levels and particularly, in the privacy of the voting booth. This is because we are not all, or even by a majority, living in circumstances that allow us to wallow in controlled “diversity.” Remember, we are only talking about primaries here and they do not reflect what can happen in a general election.
No Brains McCain, will face an opponent who is radically Marxist and married to a woman who can only feel “pride” in the USA, when it is supporting her husband’s platitudes. Already, the battle of the entitlement titans, indicates it will devolve into a question of security versus circuses. Who will win that?
Senator McCain is my guess, and with about 58% to 62% of the white vote?

“No Brains McCain.” His lack of brains doesn’t scare me as much as his notorious temper. He tries to project a calm measured outward appearance, but it’s apparent to a blind man that he’s a powder keg with a very short fuse. More disturbing: his fervent advocacy for amnesty is absolutely detrimental for the cause of maintaining our white majority. Even with all that, he is still preferable to B. Hussein Obama/Michelle Obama. Yes, it’s a hellish nightmare of a choice!
I spit on what the PC Frank Riches’ of the world say, I’m going to vote for the arcane old white guy even if it only serves as my little protest against the PC orthodoxy.
And for a little “audacity of hope” on my part, maybe, just maybe, God will inspire McCain to remove himself from the race . If so, he could be replaced by Romney or even Huckabee. If not, as miserable as it would be, the next four years of McCain would be more tolerable than that of the Obamas.

Well, well! Only a few hours after I wrote this: “… maybe, just maybe, God will inspire McCain to remove himself from the race . If so, he could be replaced by Romney or even Huckabee.”
Then this came out in the news:
NOW THAT HE’S SECURED NOMINATION: NYT DOWNLOADS ON MCCAIN
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/us/politics/21mccain.html?ei=5065&en=30275248afff65bf&ex=1204174800&partner=MYWAY&pagewanted=print
HAH! Could this embarrassing revelation be enough to get McCain to drop out of the race? Maybe not, maybe so … but I hope so! Perhaps Huckabee and Romney knew in advance this story would be hitting the headlines. That explains why Romney only ‘suspended’ his campaign, and Hackabee refuses to drop out?

To Taryton, regarding:
“Could this embarrassing revelation be enough to get McCain to drop out of the race? Maybe not, maybe so … but I hope so! Perhaps Huckabee and Romney knew in advance this story would be hitting the headlines.”
Unfortunately, I thought the same thing when this story broke, however, it is 8 years old and it seems very poorly researched by the New York Times (NYT.) The NYT seems to have tried to time this to either draw heat away from the Obama controversies in the news, or to damage Comrade McCain when he is in unstoppable ascendancy in the Republican primaries?
Either way, they are hitting the candidate they endorsed in our arena, so they can’t be operating too cleanly or honestly. The story has no punch line, and they have done their best to shelter Michelle Obama’s snafus in the back pages as well?
Why might that be?
We both know why, to keep up their “preeminent” position as America’s multicultural version of Pravda!

Yes, This demise of modern conservitism, and the Republican party as we know it may be a good thing—- as they were really not working for our interests, but quite against them. Yet a white awareness movement will be met with a combination of extreme voilence on the street and a ruling government/mass media partnership that says white racial awareness is so evil it must be stopped at all costs!
It will not only look the other way as brave whites are murdered in public simply for asking for rights and dignity and racial realism—- it may very well encourage the violence on us! It is pretty much that way now. We will need to be ready for a struggle and not be accepting of being pushed down and stepped on!
